Speedy bolognaise

    red sweet pepper, seeded, cored and coarsely chopped

    minced beef

    readymade arrabiata sauce

    spaghetti

    chopped parsley
  • salt and milled pepper
  • grated Parmesan cheese
 

Method

 
Heat oil in a medium-sized saucepan and sauté red pepper until softened. Add mince and cook, stirring to break it up, until starting to brown. Pour in arrabiata sauce. Place 30 ml (2 tbsp) water in sauce jar and swirl it around to incorporate any vestiges of sauce. Stir liquid into mixture in saucepan. Cook gently over low heat, partially covered, for 15 to 20 minutes. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to packet instructions and drain well. Stir parsley into sauce and season with salt and pepper. Serve spaghetti in a large serving dish or on individual plates, topped with mince sauce and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.
