Spaghetti bolognaise

    uncooked spaghetti
  • 2
    cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1
    kg
    turkey mince
  • 4
    large tomatoes, skinned and chopped
  • 70
    g
    tomato paste
  • 10
    ml
    sugar
  • 5
    ml
    salt
  • 80
    ml
    chutney (optional)
  • 20
    ml
    Worcestershire sauce
  • 10
    ml
    flavour enhancer such as Aromat (optional)
  • 125
    g
    bacon, crisply fried and finely chopped (optional)
  • 125
    ml
    tomato sauce
 

Method

25 mins
 
Cook the spaghetti in rapidly boiling salted water until just soft. Drain well and spoon onto a serving platter. Sauté the garlic in a little oil and add the turkey mince a little at a time. Fry until done. Add the remaining ingredients. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Spoon over the spaghetti or serve separately.
