Soya curry

    onions, chopped

    cardamom seeds

    of stick cinnamon

    ground coriander

    ground cumin (jeera)

    mild curry powder

    ml
    turmeric
  • 1
    pinch ground cloves

    cayenne pepper

    nutmeg

    g
    savoury soya mince
  • 1
    tomato, skinned and cut into pieces
  • 750
    ml
    water
  • 15
    ml
    paprika
  • 250
    ml
    plain yoghurt
 

Method

 
Sauté the onion in oil until soft. Add cardamom seeds and cinnamon and stir-fry for a minute. Add remaining seasonings, except the paprika and soya mince and stir-fry lightly. Add the tomato and mix. Add the water and paprika, reduce the heat and simmer until the soya mince is soft. Stir in the yoghurt, season to taste with salt and simmer until heated through. Serve with rice. Serves 6.
