Sizzling garlic and jalapeño prawns

Ingredients

    ml
    olive oil
  • 2
    cloves garlic, crushed
  • 5
    ml
    paprika
  • 2
    jalapeno chillies, chopped
  • 1
    kg
    whole prawns, peeled but with the tails kept in tact
  • 30
    ml
    brandy
  • 30
    ml
    lemon juice
 

Method

10 mins
 
1. Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat. Add the garlic, paprika and jalapeños, and stir for 30 seconds.
2. Turn the heat to high and add the prawns, brandy and lemon juice. Fry for about three minutes until the prawns are translucent.
3. Remove from the heat, season to taste and immediately serve with crusty bread.
