Ingredients (9)

200 ml cream cheese — low fat
200 ml cottage cheese — fat-free
75 ml caster sugar — to dredge
30 ml condensed milk
10 ml cardamom — powder
5-6 saffron — strands
25 ml almonds — slivered
25 ml pistachio nuts — slivered
25 ml almonds — flaked, to garnish

Method:

Empty the cream cheese and cottage cheese into a mixing bowl and using a hand beater mix for about 2 – 3 minutes.

Add your choice of sugar or sweetner and the condense milk (if using) and mix till light and fluffy.

Using a spatula gently fold in the cardamom powder, saffron strands, almonds and pistachios.

Spoon into ice cream bowls, garnish with the coloured slivered almonds and refrigerate before serving.
