250.00 g flour — cake
1.00 ml salt
150.00 g butter — cold, cubed

Method:

1 Sift flour and salt into a bowl. Add butter and rub in with your fingertips until mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
2 Add 45 ml cold water and mix together with a knife to form a firm dough.
3 Cover with cling film and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
