Ingredients (12)

1.00 kg sausages — pork
820.00 g apples — pie
65.00 ml chutney — fruit
65.00 ml raisins
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
TOPPING
6.00 potatoes — medium, peeled
190.00 ml milk
30.00 ml butter
onion — chopped, fried
1.00 lemon — zest only
15.00 ml fresh sage — chopped
paprika — ground

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC and spray a large ovenproof dish with non-stick spray.
Boil the pork sausages in a little water until done. Remove the skins and slice the sausages. Mix with the apples, chutney and raisins. Season and spoon into a large ovenproof dish and set aside.
Cube the potatoes and boil until done. Drain and mash while still hot. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Season generously with salt and pepper and spoon on top of the sausages.
Sprinkle with paprika and dot with butter if desired. Bake until the top begins to brown and serve hot.
Serves 8-10.
