Ingredients (15)

40.00 ml breadcrumbs — dried
50.00 ml sesame seeds
3.00 ml Chinese five-spice powder
5.00 ml chillies — powder
200.00 g tofu — firm
50.00 ml flour — cake
2.00 eggs — large
0.00 oil — for deep frying
DRESSING
125.00 ml orange juice
60.00 ml fresh lime juice
2.00 garlic — cloves
15.00 ml sesame oil
30.00 ml peanut butter
SALAD
1.00 salad greens
50.00 g mixed bean sprouts

Method:

Mix together breadcrumbs, sesame seeds, spices and 5ml salt. Cut tofu into cubes and dust with flour. Dip into the beaten egg, then coat in sesame mixture.

Heat oil over medium heat and fry tofu until golden and crispy. Drain on absorbent paper.

Whisk together dressing ingredients until smooth.

Arrange the crumbed tofu on a bed of salad leaves sprinkled with bean sprouts. Drizzle with dressing and serve immediately.
