Seasonal fruit salad

    small pineapple, skinned and sliced

    pear, thinly sliced
  • 1
    orange, skinned and cut into segments
  • small pawpaw, skinned, pips removed and sliced

    banana, sliced
  • 1
    red apple, thinly sliced
  • 1
    green apple, thinly sliced
  • 6
    strawberries, halved
  • flesh and pips of a few fresh granadillas
  • 2
    kiwi fruit, skinned and sliced

    naartjie, broken into segments
  • 200
    soda water
  • few leaves fresh mint, finely chopped


Cut the pineapple slices in half and arrange the fruit on three large plates. Mix a little chopped mint with the soda water and pour a third over each plate of fruit salad. Garnish with a mint leaf. Serves 3.
