Savoury pasta bake

    ml
    pasta of your choice
  • salt
  • 250
    g
    bacon
  • 1
    large onion, chopped
  • 1
    large green pepper, chopped
  • 250
    g
    mushrooms, finely sliced
  • 250
    g
    smoked sausages, finely sliced
  • 60
    ml
    tomato purée
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • sugar to taste
  • 1
    packet mushroom soup powder
  • 375
    ml
    milk
  • grated cheese and breadcrumbs
 

Method

 
Preheat oven to 180 °C.
Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until done but firm to the bite.
Meanwhile fry the bacon, onion and green pepper until done.
Add the mushrooms and sausages and fry until done.
Add the tomato purée and season with walt, pepper and sugar to taste.
Blend the soup powder and milk and add to the mushroom mixture along with the pasta.
Turn the mixture into an ovenproof dish, sprinkle with grated cheese and breadcrumbs and bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve with salad.
