Ingredients (10)

30.00 ml vegetable oil
500.00 g beef mince — lean
1.00 onion — chopped
1.00 green pepper — chopped
250.00 g mushrooms — sliced
40.00 ml brown sugar
20.00 ml tomato paste
5.00 ml paprika
1.00 tin baked beans
25.00 ml fresh chives — chopped

Method:

1. Heat the oil in a frying pan and sauté
the mince for two or three minutes. Add
the onion and cook for two minutes.

2. Add the remaining ingredients, except
the beans and chives. Add 100ml water,
cover and bring to the boil. Reduce the
heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

3. Add the baked beans and heat
through. Season to taste and sprinkle with
the chives.
