Savoury Mince With Mushrooms

    vegetable oil
  • 500

    lean beef mince
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 1
    green pepper, chopped
  • 250

    mushrooms, sliced
  • 40
    ml
    brown sugar
  • 20
    ml
    tomato paste
  • 5
    ml
    paprika
  • 1
    tin
    410g can baked beans
  • 25
    ml
    fresh chives, chopped
 

Method

1. Heat the oil in a frying pan and sauté the mince for two or three minutes. Add the onion and cook for two minutes.

2. Add the remaining ingredients, except the beans and chives. Add 100ml water, cover and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

3. Add the baked beans and heat through. Season to taste and sprinkle with the chives.
