Sausage with sweetcorn

    boerewors
  • 1
    onion, sliced into rings
  • 410
    g
    cream-style sweetcorn
  • 100
    g
    Cheddar cheese, grated
  • fresh breadcrumbs
  • parsley
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Fry the boerewors in a pan until done. Cut into pieces. Arrange half the boerewors in a medium-sized dish and spoon half the onion rings and half the sweetcorn on top. Sprinkle with half the cheese. Repeat the layers, ending with the cheese. Sprinkle with fresh breadcrumbs and bake for 20 minutes or until the dish is heated through and the cheese has melted. Garnish with parsley. Serve with bread and a salad. Serves 4.
