Ingredients (12)

500.00 g sausages — thin mutton
1.00 onion — finely chopped
2.00 tomatoes — large, peeled and diced
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste
5.00 ml oregano
TOPPING
100.00 g flour — self-raising
5.00 ml salt
5.00 ml mixed herbs
100.00 g cheddar cheese — grated
1.00 eggs — extra-large
150.00 ml milk
15.00 ml oil

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Spray an ovenproof dish, 20 cm in diameter, with non-stick spray.
Fry the sausage in a pan until brown on both sides. Place the sausage in the prepared dish and roll it into a spiral.
Sauté the onion in the pan fat until soft and add the diced tomatoes. Add the seasonings and simmer until a nice sauce has formed. Pour the sauce over the sausage.
Mix all the topping ingredients. Spoon over the sausage and bake for about 20 minutes or until baked through and lightly browned on top.
Serve with a green salad.
