Ingredients (12)

500.00 g sausages — frankfurters, sliced
1.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
5.00 ml fresh ginger — finely grated
500.00 g stir-fry vegetables — frozen
440.00 g pineapple — tinned chuncks, drained
SWEET 'N SOUR SAUCE
25.00 ml cornflour
300.00 ml water
75.00 ml brown sugar — soft
60.00 ml vinegar
30.00 ml soy sauce
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
255.00 g noodles — instant

Method:

Heat a heavy-based frying pan and lightly brown the frankfurters in a little oil. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Sauté the garlic and ginger over medium heat to release the flavours and add the stir-fry vegetables. Stir-fry until cooked but still crisp. Add the pineapple chunks and sausages.
Blend the cornflour with a little water to form a thin paste and mix with the remaining sauce ingredients. Add to the sausage and vegetable mixture, season and simmer for about 5 minutes until cooked. Season with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, prepare the noodles according to the package instructions.
Serve the stir-fry with the noodles and a fresh green salad if desired.
Serves 6.
