Saucy tomato sauce

    ml
    olive oil
  • 1
    onion
  • 1
    chilli
  • 1
    cloves
    garlic
  • 410
    g
    chopped tomatoes
  • 5
    ml
    sugar
  • 15
    ml
    fresh origanum
  • 125
    g
    cherry tomatoes
  • 80
    g
    salami
  • 15
    ml
    balsamic vinegar
 

Method

10 minutes
 
Heat oil in a large pan and fry onion, chilli and garlic for two minutes.
Add tinned tomatoes, sugar, origaum and seasoning to taste and simmer for five minutes.
Add cherry tomatoes and salami and simmer for a further two minutes.
Stir in balsamic vinegar and pour over cooked and drained penne pasta.
