Sardinian sea food arrabbiati

    mussels, make sure they are properly cleaned and all the shells are firmly closed

    shrimps, shelled
  • 500
    small squid, cut into reasonably thin slices
  • 500
    cuttlefish, cut into reasonably thin slices
  • 500
    octopus, cut into reasonably thin slices
  • 1
    lemon, juice and grated zest
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, roughly chopped
  • cloves
    Garlic, peeled and finely chopped, to taste
  • 1
    large hot chilli, finely chopped
  • Sea salt to taste and freshly ground black pepper (should you require pepper)


1 hour
Fry all the sea food very lightly in the olive oil, including the mussels until everything is just cooked.

Season with salt, garlic, chilli, parsley, lemon zest and black pepper if you feel it needs more pepper.
Pour over the lemon lemon juice and additional oil to taste.

Allow to rest for about 6 hours to allow the flavours to develop.
