Rum chops

  • 250
    ml
    spring onions, coarsely chopped
  • 2
    ml
    ground cinnamon
  • 125
    ml
    fresh lime juice
  • 5
    ml
    salt
  • 30
    ml
    canola oil
  • 5
    ml
    dried thyme
  • 7
    ml
    dark rum
  • 2
    garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1
    jalapeno pepper
  • 4
    (250 g each) pork chops
 

Method

 
Dump everything into a blender (except the pork chops!) and process until smooth.
Pour the mixture into a large resealable plastic bag, slip in the chops, shake everything up and toss the bag into the fridge for two to four hours.
Then place the marianted pork on a grill tray and pop it into the oven.
Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, turning the chops every few minutes.
They're ready when they're no longer pink at the bone.
