Rose petal and watermelon cooler

Ingredients

  • 250
    ml
    sugar
  • 650
    ml
    water
  • 15
    ml
    rosewater
  • 1
    litre watermelon juice or cranberry juice
 

Method

Heat the rose petals, sugar and 220 ml of the water in a large saucepan and bring to the boil.

Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes or until a light syrup is formed.

Leave to cool and stir in the rosewater and remaining water. Pour the mixture into ice trays and freeze.

Fill chilled glasses with the ice cubes and pour over the fruit juice.
