    butter, softened
  • 180
    ml
    sugar
  • 500
    ml
    cake flour
  • 10
    ml
    baking powder
  • 2
    eggs
  • 125
    ml
    milk
  • 7
    ml
    vanilla essence
  • 1
    ml
    salt
  • GLACE ICING
  • 375
    ml
    icing sugar
  • 25
    ml
    boiling water
 

Method

 
Preheat oven to 180 °C. Grease patty pans or muffin tins.
Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Sift together flour and baking powder. Add to creamed mixture, together with remaining ingredients and beat for five minutes until very smooth and creamy.
Place the paper cups in greased muffin tins.
Spoon the batter to fill two-thirds of each paper cup and bake for 20 minutes. Cool.
Mix icing sugar and water together, stirring until smooth. Spread on top of cupcakes.
Decorate cupcakes with rose petals and dust with icing sugar.
