    flour
  • 2
    ml
    salt
  • 5
    ml
    mixed spice
  • 100
    g
    butter
  • 1
    egg
  • 30
    ml
    milk
  • 75
    g
    brown sugar
  • 50
    g
    raisins
  • 1
    grated rind of half a lemon
 

Method

Preheat the oven to 190°C.
Sieve together the flour, salt and mixed spice.
Rub the butter into the dry ingredients.
Beat the egg together with the milk and sugar.
Add egg-and-milk mixture to the flour mixture.
Stir in the raisins and lemon rind.
Form the dough into rock-like shapes, place on a greased baking tray and bake for 15 minutes
