  • 750
    ml
    mixed fresh fruit wedges and berries
  • any liqueur
  • 500
    ml
    medium-thick custard
  • 375
    ml
    thick cream
  • 200
    ml
    soft brown sugar (approximately)
 

Method

 
Spoon the mixed fresh fruit into a shallow ovenproof dish and sprinkle with liqueur. Spoon custard over the fruit to cover and top with a layer of cream. Sprinkle generously with brown sugar. Just before serving, heat the oven grill until very hot and grill the fruit rapidly until the sugar has melted and begins to bubble. Remove from the oven, leave for a minute and serve.
