Ingredients (11)

500.00 g beef mince
2.00 onion — sliced
3.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
oil — for frying
2.00 tomatoes — ripe, medium, skinned and diced
30.00 g tomatoe paste
Worcestershire sauce — to taste
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste
5.00 ml fresh basil
2.00 ml oregano
750.00 ml rice — cooked

Method:

Brown small quantities of the mince at a time in a large frying pan. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Sauté the onion and garlic in a little oil till soft. Reduce the heat and add the meat, tomatoes, tomato paste and all the seasonings. Simmer for a few minutes and finally add the rice. Mix and heat till warmed through.
Serve with a green salad and fresh breadrolls.
Serves 4-6.
