Rice pudding from a can with pistachio and cardamom syrup

Ingredients

  • 2 cans rice pudding (or readymade rice or sago pudding, if you prefer)
  • 125 ml pistachio nuts, shelled and chopped
  • 4 cardamom pods, split open
  • 60 ml honey
  • 30 ml lemon juice
  • thick cream or ice cream, to serve
 

Method

 
Heat the pudding.
Place nuts, cardamom, honey and lemon juice in a saucepan.
Simmer for 2 minutes.
Drizzle the syrup over the pudding.
Serve with a dollop of thick cream or ice cream.
