Ingredients (6)

250.00 ml rice — long-grain, uncooked
1.00 Litres milk
80.00 ml sugar
2.00 ml nutmeg — ground
2.00 cinnamon — stick
5.00 ml vanilla — essence

Method:

Cook rice according to instructions on packet.
Add milk, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon. Simmer gently for 30 to 40 minutes, until mixture is creamy.
Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
Stir in vanilla essence and allow mixture to cool.
Remove cinnamon sticks before serving.
