Rice dish

    cooked rice

    onion, sliced into rings

    green pepper, diced
  • 1
    stalk celery, chopped

    bully beef, diced
  • 2
    hard-boiled eggs, sliced
  • 500
    ml
    medium thick white sauce
  • 50
    g
    Cheddar cheese, grated
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Grease an ovenproof dish. Spoon half the rice into the ovenproof dish. Sauté the onion, green pepper and celery in a little oil till soft. Spoon half the mixture on top of the rice and sprinkle half the diced bully beef and hard-boiled egg over it. Pour over a layer of white sauce. Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of white sauce. Sprinkle with the Cheddar cheese. Heat for about 20 minutes or till the dish is warmed through and the cheese has melted. Serves 4.
