Rhubarb compôte

Ingredients

  • 500
    g
    rhubarb, cut into pieces
  • 150
    g
    sugar
  • 125
    ml
    water
  • 5
    ml
    each grated lemon and orange peel
  • 15
    ml
    grated fresh ginger
 

Method

 
Place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve warm or cold with mascarpone cheese, or top with a crumble mixture, bake until lightly browned and serve as a hot dessert.
