Quick spicy peach salad

Ingredients

  • 822
    g
    tinned sliced peaches in light syrup, drained
  • 120
    ml
    raisins or sultanas
  • 15
    ml
    rose water
  • 15
    ml
    rum
  • 10
    ml
    mixed sweet spices
  • 60
    ml
    reserved peach syrup
  • sweetened flaked coconut for decorating (optional)
 

Method

Lightly toss together the the peach slices, raisins and the spices in a bowl.
In a separate bowl mix together the rose water, rum, and reserved peach syrup.
Slowly fold the syrup mixture into the fruit mixture.
If desired, sprinkle with sweetened flaked coconut.
Serve with cottage cheese, whipped cream and vanilla sugar, or almond praline ice cream.
