Ingredients (9)

8.00 bread — white slices, crusts removed
water — cold
3.00 eggs — extra-large, whisked
5.00 ml salt
125.00 ml cheddar cheese — grated
1.00 onion — small, grated
5.00 ml fresh parsley — chopped
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
oil — for shallow frying

Method:

Soak the bread in a little water until soft. Press out the excess water and mash the bread with a fork.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix. Season well and shallow-fry spoonfuls of the mixture in heated oil until golden brown and done.
Drain on paper towelling and serve with fried sausages and a homemade tomato sauce.
