Ingredients (8)

400.00 g puff pastry — defrosted
FILLING
440.00 ml milk
30.00 ml sugar
15.00 ml butter
1.00 cinnamon — stick
90.00 ml flour — cake
2.00 eggs — beaten
cinnamon — ground

Method:

Preheat oven to 190 ºC. Roll out enough pastry to line a greased, deep 220 mm pie dish.
FILLING: Boil milk, sugar, butter and cinnamon. Blend flour to paste with a little cold water.
Add a little hot milk mixture, stirring, then return to rest of milk. Cook for five minutes stirring constantly.
Add a little hot milk mixture to eggs, then return the mixture to a pan and cook until thickened, stirring. Remove from the stove and cool.
Pour into pastry-lined pie dish and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until filling has set.
Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and allow to cool.
