Quick fish dish

    uncooked macaroni

    oil
  • 2
    or more onions, sliced
  • 410
    g
    pilchards in tomato sauce, lightly flaked
  • 410
    g
    tomato and onion mixture
  • 100
    g
    Cheddar cheese, grated
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Boil macaroni in salted water until cooked and drain. Sauté onion in heated oil until soft. Add pilchards and combine well. Spoon half the fish and onion mixture into a greased ovenproof dish and spoon half the macaroni on top. Spoon half the tomato and onion mixture on top and repeat layers. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese on top and bake for about 30 minutes until dish is heated through. Serves 4.
