    margarine

    Grated Cheddar cheese

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C and lightly grease a baking sheet. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Rub the margarine into the flour mixture until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add the cheese and mix. Add just enough milk to form a soft, manageable dough. On a floured surface roll the dough into a circle and divide it into 8 uniform wedges. Roll up each wedge from the rounded edge to the point and fold the ends towards each other to form a crescent. Press the ends together gently. Arrange the croissants on the prepared baking sheet, brush with the milk and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
