Quick chicken liver spaghetti

    butter
  • 1
    onion, sliced
  • 250
    g
    chicken livers, cleaned
  • 200
    g
    fresh button mushrooms, sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 5
    ml
    basil
  • 15
    ml
    sherry
  • 420
    g
    spaghetti in tomato sauce
 

Method

20 mins
 
Melt the butter in a pan and sauté the onion until soft. Add the chicken livers and fry until brown on the outside but still slightly pink inside. Add the mushrooms and fry until done. Season to taste with salt and pepper and add the basil and sherry. Heat the spaghetti in tomato sauce in a separate saucepan and mix with the chicken liver mixture. Serve with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil, if desired. Serves 4.
