Quick caramel pineapple tart

    g
    Marie biscuits, crushed
  • 100
    ml
    butter, melted
  • FILLING
  • 380
    g
    Nestlé Caramel Treat
  • 440
    g
    crushed pineapple
  • 45
    ml
    cornflour
  • 250
    ml
    cream, chilled
  • glacé pineapple for decoration (optional)
 

Method

 
Spray a round pie dish with non-stick spray. Crush the biscuits and mix with the melted butter. Press into a pie dish and chill until cold and firm. Spoon the caramel condensed milk into the crust and chill. Drain the crushed pineapple and dissolve the cornflour in the syrup. Add to the pineapple and bring to the boil in a fairly small saucepan. Simmer until slightly thickened, remove from the stove and cool, but not until ice cold. Spoon over the caramel condensed milk and chill. Whip the cream and pipe on top. Decorate with slices of glacé pineapple, if desired. As the tart has a soft filling it is easier to serve with a spoon rather than sliced. Makes 1 medium-sized tart.
