250.00 ml water
5.00 ml salt
500.00 ml maize meal

Method:

Bring water and salt to the boil in a large saucepan.
Sprinkle in the mealie meal and boil gently for 15 minutes. Stir with a fork to produce a crumbly texture.
Cover and simmer gently for 30 minutes, adding more water if necessary. Serve with tomato and onion sauce.
