Ingredients

  • 60
    ml
    butter
  • 200
    g
    soft brown sugar
  • 125
    ml
    cream
  • 125
    ml
    syrup
  • 100
    g
    chopped pecan nuts
  • 5
    ml
    vanilla essence
 

Method

+/- 20 min
 
Melt the butter over low heat. Add the brown sugar, syrup and cream, heating slowly until the sugar has dissolved. Stir continuously. Simmer until the sauce thickens. Stir in the pecan nuts and vanilla essence. Serve lukewarm with coffee or vanilla ice cream. Makes about 600 ml (2 2/5 c).
