  • 4
    potatoes, grated
  • 1
    onion, grated
  • 1
    clove garlic, crushed
  • salt and pepper
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 30
    ml
    fresh breadcrumbs
  • 5
    ml
    baking powder
  • oil for frying
 

Method

 
Mix together potatoes, onions and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Add egg mixed with breadcrumbs and baking powder and stir well together. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into hot oil and fry on both sides until crisp, about 15 minutes. Serve warm or cold. Serves 6.
