Potato casserole

    butter
  • 1
    medium onion
  • 6
    medium potatoes
  • 3
    ml
    freshly ground black pepper
  • 5
    ml
    salt
  • 30
    ml
    thick mayonnaise
  • 45
    ml
    milk
  • 125
    ml
    cream
  • 125
    ml
    chopped green pepper
  • 2
    red chillies
  • 75
    ml
    sliced spring onions
  • 125
    ml
    grated white cheese
 

Method

40 minutes
 
Heat the butter and sauté the onion until soft. Remove from heat and mix with the cooked potatoes.
Make a paste with the pepper, salt, mayonnaise and milk and pour over the potatoes.
Add all the remaining ingredients, except the cheese, and mix carefully until well combined.
Place the mixture in an ovenproof dish and top with the grated cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ºC for 30 minutes.
