Potato and sausage bake

  • 300
    ml
    milk
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • pinch nutmeg
  • 2
    cloves garlic, crushed

    potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1
    large or 2 small leeks, rinsed and sliced
  • 100
    g
    chorizo sausages, coarsely chopped
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 100
    g
    butter
  • 200
    chedder cheese
 

Method

+/- 40 min
 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC.
Grease the dish with a little butter.
Boil the cream, milk, bay leaf, nutmeg, garlic and potatoes in a large saucepan until the potatoes are just tender.
Sauté the leeks in a little butter until soft and add the chorizo, cook for a few minutes.
Remove the bay leaf, add the leek and sausages to the potatoes and season generously with salt and pepper.
Carefully spoon the mixture into the prepared dish.
Sprinkle with cheese and place in the oven for 15 minutes or until the top is bubbling.
