Ingredients (13)

4.00 potatoes — medium, peeled and quartered
65.00 ml vegetable oil
1.00 onion — finely chopped
2.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
5.00 ml cumin — ground
3.00 ml coriander — ground
3.00 ml ginger — ground
3.00 ml turmeric — ground
3.00 ml freshly ground black pepper
5.00 ml garam masala
410.00 g tomatoes — chopped
250.00 ml peas — frozen
yoghurt — with parsley

Method:

1. Boil potatoes until just tender. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onion and garlic until soft.
2. Add spices and tomatoes and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes or until slightly thickened.
3. Stir in potatoes and simmer, stirring occasionally until potatoes are heated through and mixture is almost dry.
4. Stir in peas and cook, stirring, for about 3 minutes or until peas are heated though. Serve with parsley yoghurt.
