Pork chops with citrus and yoghurt

Ingredients (10)

6.00 pork loin chops
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste
1.00 onion — sliced into rings
2.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
oil
1.00 apples — peeled, diced
5.00 ml oregano
250.00 ml orange juice
175.00 ml yoghurt — citrus-crunch-flavoured
5.00 ml cornflour

Method:

Score the fatty sides of the chops and season to taste with salt and pepper.
Fry the meat in a heated griddle pan until done. Keep warm in the warming drawer.
Sauté the onion and garlic in a little oil until soft. Add the diced apple and sauce for about another minute.
Add the origanum and the orange juice and simmer until the apple is soft.
Add the citrus yoghurt and thicken the sauce with 5 ml cornflour blended with a little water. Heat slowly while stirring continuously until the sauce thickens.
Season with salt and pepper if necessary.
Serve with the chops and brown rice.
