Plum meringue

    g
    plums, stoned
  • 20
    almonds
  • 4
    egg whites
  • 100
    ml
    sugar
 

Method

 
Cut plum halves into strips and chop almonds. Beat egg whites to a stiff froth with sugar. Carefully fold in plums and some almonds. Pour mixture into a greased 20 to 22 cm diameter ovenproof dish and garnish with remaining almonds. Bake on bottom shelf of oven at 170 ºC for about 30 minutes. Serve warm. TOTAL KILOJOULE COUNT: 1 610 kJ (385 Cal). A portion: 400 kJ (95 Cal).
