Pizza topping 4: salami, peppers, artichokes and chilli

Ingredients (9)

30.00 ml fresh chillies — 573
1.00 red pepper — large, sliced
1.00 yellow pepper — large, sliced
1.00 red chilli — large, deseeded and thinly sliced
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
quantity pizza dough (see recipe for basic pizza crust)
45.00 ml pesto
6.00 salami — slices, halved
150.00 g mozzarella cheese — grated
400.00 g artichokes — tinned, drained and quartered

Method:

Preheat the oven to 220 ºC.
Heat the oil and sauce the peppers and chilli over medium heat for 5 minutes or until soft. Season generously with salt and pepper.
Choose your preferred pizza base and prepare as described for the basic pizza crust recipe. Spread with the pesto and bake for 5-7 minutes, depending on the thickness of the base or until well risen and lightly browned.
Arrange the peppers, chilli and salami on the base and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Top with artichokes and bake for another 7-10 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the base is done and golden brown.
Serve immediately.
