Pickling onions in foil

  • 500
    g
    pickling onions, peeled but with stem ends retained
  • 200
    ml
    butter or margarine
  • 12
    ml
    chopped parsley
  • 2
    cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 25
    ml
    seasoned salt
  • 3
    ml
    freshly ground black pepper
  • 100
    ml
    lemon juice
 

Method

 
1. Wrap ingredients in heavy aluminium foil and braai over hot coals for 30 to 45 minutes. Snip off stem ends and serve onions hot.
