Pears in spiced chocolate sauce

    cans baby pears or pear halves
  • 100
    g
    dark chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 100
    ml
    cream
  • 2
    ml
    ground cardamom
  • 2
    ml
    ground cloves
  • 5
    ml
    ground cinnamon
  • 50
    g
    chopped pecan nuts, toasted
 

Method

1. Place the pears in serving bowls and set aside. Put the chocolate, cream and spices in a saucepan and melt over low heat, stirring constantly.
2. Spoon the sauce over the pears and sprinkle with the toasted pecan nuts.
*Cook's tip
Canned baby pears look wonderful and are ideal to serve when unexpected guests arrive.
