Ingredients (10)

0.00 apples — tinned, sliced and drained
0.00 pears — tin, halved, drained
0.00 cloves — or cardamom pods
0.00 raisins
0.00 brown sugar — brown sugar
0.00 butter
0.00 breadcrumbs — fresh
0.00 cinnamon — ground
0.00 hazelnuts — chopped
0.00 jam — strawberry

Method:

Put the apples, pears, cloves or cardamom pods and raisins into a saucepan.
Add 50 ml liquid from the fruit cans and bring to the boil.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
While the fruit is simmering, heat the butter in a frying pan.
Add the breadcrumbs and fry until golden and crisp.
Remove from the heat and stir in the cinnamon, nuts and sugar.
Spoon the fruit into a greased ovenproof dish.
Heat the jam to melt it, pour it over the fruit and sprinkle with the breadcrumb mixture.
Bake in a preheated 200 °C oven for 15 minutes.
Serve hot.
