Pawpaw, pepper and beef kebabs

    rump steak

    ripe pawpaw
  • 1
    green pepper
  • MARINADE

    chicken stock cube, crumbled
  • 250
    ml
    water
  • 60
    ml
    honey
  • 80
    ml
    prepared barbecue sauce
  • 1
    clove garlic, crushed
  • 2
    ml
    freshly ground black pepper
  • 5
    ml
    ground ginger
  • 40
    ml
    Worcestershire sauce
 

Method

 
Combine all marinade ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Cut steak, pawpaw and pepper into bite-sized pieces and leave to marinate in the fridge overnight. Drain steak, pawpaw and pepper, reserving marinade. Thread steak, pawpaw and pepper on to skewers, and barbecue or grill until steak is tender, brushing occasionally with reserved marinade during cooking.
