Ingredients (7)

12.00 rye bread — sliced
60.00 ml mustard — sweet, wholegrain
300.00 g pastrami — or beef shavings
2.00 tomatoes — thinly sliced
1.00 lettuce — iceberg, shredded
75.00 g watercress
4.00 gherkins — sliced diagonally

Method:

Spread 4 slices of rye bread with half the mustard. Layer with the pastrami, tomato slices, lettuce, watercress and gherkins. Top with a slice of bread and repeat the layers. Cover with the 4 remaining slices of rye bread. Secure each sandwich with 2 small skewers and cut in half before serving. Serves 4.
