Pasta with dried fruit

    mixed dried fruit
  • 15

    butter
  • 15
    ml
    cake flour
  • 250
    ml
    milk
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 5

    mustard powder
  • 65
    ml
    mature Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 100
    g
    shell pasta, cooked
  • 250
    g
    frozen mixed vegetables, cooked
 

Method

 
Soak the dried fruit in water until plump. Boil until tender, drain and cut into smaller pieces. Prepare a white sauce using the butter, flour and milk and season with salt and pepper. Stir in the mustard and cheese. Mix the pasta, dried fruit and vegetables with the sauce and spoon into an ovenproof dish. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and a little cheese and grill under the oven grill until golden brown.
