Pasta shells with bacon and cheese

Ingredients

  • 350
    g
    uncooked pasta shells
  • 250
    g
    streaky bacon, chopped
  • 1
    clove garlic, crushed
  • 250
    g
    cottage cheese with herbs
  • 250
    ml
    cream
  • 100
    g
    frozen peas
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • few slices Tusser's cheese
 

Method

+/- 30 min
 
Cook the pasta in rapidly boiling salted water till soft. Drain well. Fry the bacon till crisp. Prepare the sauce: Add the garlic, cottage cheese and cream to the bacon in the pan. Simmer till the sauce thickens slightly. Add the peas and simmer till heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste then pour the sauce over the pasta and mix. Arrange slices of Tusser's cheese in between. Serve immediately with a salad. Serves 4-6.
