Ingredients (10)

250.00 g pasta — shells, uncooked
1.00 onion — sliced into rings
oil
500.00 g beef mince
410.00 g tomatoes — whole peeled and finely chopped
15.00 ml Worcestershire sauce
30.00 ml chutney
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

125.00 ml cheddar cheese — grated

Method:

Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until tender. Drain well and set aside.
Sauté the onion in a little oil until soft. Add the mince and stir-fry until done. Add the tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce and chutney and season to taste with salt and pepper. Reduce the heat and simmer for a few minutes. Spoon alternate layers of the pasta and mince mixture into the prepared dish. Prepare the cheese sauce according to the instructions on the packet and pour over the mince mixture. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for about 20 minutes or until heated through. Switch on the oven grill and grill until brown on top.
Serves 4 – 6 with a salad.
